See that cute little kid there? That’s Evan Moriaty.

At the young age of 5, this boy from Fayetteville, N.C had a cancerous tumour the size of a football but that didn’t stop him from enjoying life. His favourite show then was “Top Gun”. That show sparked his interest in jets.

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation turned his desire into a reality, the little boy and his family was more than thrilled. That’s him right there in his little get up at the SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. (AFPN).

In fiscal year 2009, MAW Foundation granted 13,465 wishes. The most ever in its 29 year history!

Normally childrens’ wishes fall into 4 categories.

To be : A dancer, a pilot etc.
To meet : A celebrity, a famous athlete etc
To have : A puppy, a computer etc
To go : To a themepark, Hawaii etc

The most popular wish requested was to visit a theme park, which accounted for more than 40% of the requests from the wish kids.
